Dear Mom,
Thank you for all the smallest gifts, the time, the life lessons. Thank you for being supportive, and listening, and teaching me in so many ways to shape the person I am today. For showing me how to cook, and in doing so, teaching me about being attentive, and inventive. Thank you for trusting me to grow up and experience the world, and for letting me fail but also being there to help. I shall always be a dutiful son for all these gifts you have bestowed me.
I ask your forgiveness, because I don’t think I’m really the son you intended to raise.
I’m sorry Mom,
Your son
